Adam C. Brown Esq Family Law Attorney

Mr. Brown received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Greensboro College in 2011. As an intern for Congresswoman Nydia M. Velazquez in the Financial Services Committee of the United States House of Representatives, Mr. Brown saw firsthand how the law changed the country after the Great Recession. As a New Jersey native, pursuing a Juris Doctorate at Rutgers Law School in Newark felt like a natural fit.  

A Background in Tax Law

During law school, Mr. Brown distinguished himself as president of the Tax Law Society and learned how to represent clients before the United States Tax Court as a Tax Clinic associate. While still in law school, Mr. Brown worked as an intern for Mitchell & Titus LLP, preparing tax returns and strategies for partnerships, corporations, individuals, and non-profits. 

Improving Our Community Through Family Law

After law school, Mr. Brown served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. James R. Paganelli, J.S.C. in the Chancery Division, Family Part in Essex County. During his clerkship, Mr. Brown saw how impactful family law could be and how it changed the dynamics of households throughout our community. The clerkship proved invaluable as Mr. Brown took his knowledge to the streets of Newark by embarking on a fellowship with the Rutgers Law Associates. 

As a Rutgers Law Fellow, Mr. Brown organized non-profits for grassroots companies, worked with organizations such as the Newark Community Street Team (NCST), and assisted ex-offenders with legal issues to reduce recidivism.
